At Eltham Community Action Group’s AGM on Sunday 29 May 2022, Dr Greg Moore gave a presentation on the importance of tree cover in urban areas, particularly in relation to climate change and planning laws.

Dr Greg Moore the Principal of Burnley College from 1988-2007, then Head of Resource Management at Melbourne University 2002-2007.

Greg has a specific interest in all aspects of the cultivation and management of trees as well as a general interest in horticultural plant science, revegetation and ecology.

He has contributed to the development of Australian Standards in pruning and amenity tree evaluation and has been a major speaker at international conference. He has been, and is, a regular contributor to ABC 774, Radio National, 3AW and Gardening Australia. He has been a member of the National Trust of Victoria’s Register of Significant Trees since 1988 and has chaired the committee since 1996. Greg has also been on the board of Greening Australia (Victoria) for 20 years until 2013.
